Plain summary

Here's the short version. We collect what we need to send you a can of tea and stay in touch about your order. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with anyone except the operational partners we genuinely need to run the business (payments, shipping, email).

Who we are

This privacy policy applies to vyve.club and is published by VYVE Nutrition Pty Ltd. We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Our privacy contact is privacy@vyve.club.

What we collect

We only collect what we actually need. That includes:

  • Identity & contact: Name, email, phone number, shipping address, billing address
  • Order info: What you ordered, when, and any notes you added
  • Payment info: Processed by Stripe and similar partners. We see partial card details (last four digits, type) but not your full card number
  • Account info: If you create an account, your login credentials and preferences
  • Communications: Emails, support tickets, and survey responses you send us
  • Site usage: Anonymised analytics about how the website is used (pages viewed, device type, approximate location)

We don't deliberately collect sensitive information (health, religion, etc.). If you send us any in an email, we'll only use it to help with the matter you raised.

How we collect it

Most information comes directly from you when you place an order, sign up for a subscription, contact us, or subscribe to our newsletter.

Some is collected automatically when you visit the site, through cookies and analytics tools (see Cookies below).

Occasionally we receive information from third parties such as our payment processor or shipping carriers when they send us order related updates.

Why we use it

We use your information to:

  • Process and ship your orders
  • Manage your Club subscription
  • Send order confirmations, dispatch notifications, and customer service replies
  • Send marketing emails if you've opted in (you can opt out any time)
  • Improve our website, products, and service quality
  • Detect and prevent fraud or misuse
  • Meet our legal and tax obligations

Who we share with

We share information only with the operational partners we need to run the business. Currently this includes:

  • Stripe for payment processing
  • Australia Post and partner couriers for delivery
  • Resend (or equivalent provider) for transactional and marketing email
  • Supabase (or equivalent) for our database and account systems
  • Netlify for website hosting
  • Analytics providers for anonymised site usage data
  • Government, regulatory, or law enforcement bodies if we're legally required to disclose

We do not sell your personal information. We don't share it with advertisers for them to build profiles of you.

Where it's stored

Your information is stored on secure cloud infrastructure provided by our service partners. Some of those partners host data outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. By using our service, you consent to your information being transferred to and stored in those locations.

We choose partners with strong privacy and security commitments and only share what's strictly necessary for them to perform their function.

Marketing & email

We only send marketing emails to people who've opted in, either by ticking a box at checkout or signing up to our newsletter. Marketing emails always include an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect on the next send.

Transactional emails (order confirmations, dispatch updates, account notifications) are sent regardless of marketing preferences because they're necessary to fulfil your order. If you cancel your account, those stop too.

Cookies & tracking

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:

  • Essential cookies for cart, login, and checkout. These can't be turned off without breaking the site
  • Analytics cookies to understand how the site is used in aggregate. The data is anonymised and we don't use it to identify individuals
  • Marketing cookies if you've opted in, used to measure the performance of our ads. You can opt out via your browser settings or our cookie banner

Most browsers let you block cookies. Blocking essential cookies will prevent the site from working properly.

Your rights

Under Australian privacy law you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you
  • Request a copy of that information
  • Ask us to correct anything inaccurate
  • Ask us to delete your information, subject to our legal record keeping obligations
  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time

To exercise any of these, email privacy@vyve.club. We'll respond within 30 days, usually much sooner.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information using encryption in transit (HTTPS), secure cloud infrastructure, and access controls. No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to keep yours safe and to act quickly if anything goes wrong.

If we ever experience a data breach that's likely to result in serious harm to you, we'll notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required by law.

Complaints

If you think we've handled your information badly, please tell us first at privacy@vyve.club. We'll investigate and respond within 30 days.

If you're still not satisfied, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with a last updated date at the top of the introduction. For material changes, we'll let existing customers know by email.
